Big Country Bluegrass is pleased to announce that John Treadway of Taylorsville, North Carolina, is now playing banjo and singing harmony with the group. John has been playing banjo since he was 12 years old, and his experience includes time with Wes Golding and Surefire and more recently with the the popular North Carolina band, Idle Time.

John takes the banjo spot left vacant at the end of 2015 when Lynwood Lunsford left after nine years with the group. The band wishes Lynwood the very best and really appreciates his friendship and his valuable service for all those years. Concerning John joining Big Country Bluegrass, band leader Tommy Sells, summed it up nicely by stating, "John plays a great traditional style and his interest and talent in learning our material has impressed all of us. We believe our fans will be equally impressed by John and his talents."
